I am currently about to receive my bachelors degree in psychology next semester (spring 2017).  I want to continue school but am not sure to go for masters or go further (phd. pays.).  I would like to hear the opinion of a psychologist in the field.  I am interested in doing forensic psychology.
thank you

Forensic psychology is much different than regular psychology. Do you want to work for the FBI or the government? If so, pay is based on their standards not the standards set by the medical community, and I am unfamiliar with them. I will say that a doctorate is a ton of work, and usually only worth it if you open your own practice and make money by supervising others as well.

If you want to do psychotherapy, as in treating mental health diagnoses, the simplest and most accepted way by insurance companies is a masters in clincial social work - you can do everything a masters in psychology can do except be a psychological testing tech.
