I've seen a psychiatrist and they have said, after the property testing of course, PTSD, bi-polar2, severe depression, anxiety disorder, severe insomnia, antisocial personality disorder, asking with severe migraines. The PTSD was told to me to be a cause of a childhood trauma and the onset of an abusive marriage that lasted 12 years. During this time I can not seem  to, at anyway  possible, remember childhood memories or any dreams that I might've had. I'm worried and scared that this may be a serious illness like dimensia or a type of amnesia problem. Can anyone give any advice on what I should do?

Hi Robin,

Did your doctor give you any information about these type diagnosis? It is not uncommon for someone who has experienced severe trauma to block or repress these events as the body and mind's way of keeping itself safe and able to function.  More information would be needed about your health and if dementia runs in your family, but I am not a doctor so I cannot answer this. If you are noticing other problems like forgetting everyday common things, you might want to make an appointment with your doctor to get checked out. One question they might ask is, when did you notice this? Is it all of a sudden that you can't remember childhood or has it been persistent for as long as you can remember.
